This past Tuesday, she re launched her store by introducing a refreshed retail layout and a new bright yellow community "Creative Souls Classroom" she hopes to fill with daily classes involving creating, art and teaching.

As I prepare to leave Prism Magic, it dawns on me: I am uplifted.
It surprises me when she says she seriously contemplated closing Prism's doors for good last November.
She's humble, witty and has creativity in spades.

She pauses our conversation briefly to consult with two women thumbing through corsets on a rack, listening to their needs with the ear of an experienced costumer. She knows well when you escape into the folds of fabric and dress up into character, great happiness and joy is possible.
Looking around her store, a variety of sparkly, tie dyed, fur covered or joy inspiring items adorn shelves and racks or dangle from the ceiling.
Hufft also is highly involved in the arts community and considers herself a conduit, introducing others and pairing people together based on needs and projects.

I look around Prada Bag Yellow once more at the collective of colorful and playful items, the sunny room for creativity and lastly at Hufft. I realize the joyful ambiance fostered in the store isn't just from the creativity and racks of fun items.
Hufft shares with me her journey of beginning a home based tie dye business with her then husband back in the late 1990s to supplying festivals and kiosks with t shirts all over the country and then opening costume and tie dye t shirt store, Prism Magic Clothing and Imports on Pyramid Way in Sparks in 2007.
"Having the store, it got to the point where I thought, 'I'm not having fun anymore; I'm not enjoying it.' I was really close to closing it," Hufft says. "I had a couple of days where I didn't open the doors I had to figure things out. I had to figure out a way to bring my passion back."
