The Smith Family has Prada Mens Wallet Blue introduced the Let's Read program to the Early Year's Parenting Centre, Aboriginal Families Team, Aboriginal Family Support Service and the Port Augusta Children's Centre.
In 2014 the Smith Family will be coordinating the online mentoring program iTrack.
"Volunteering is a rewarding experience with two fold benefits," Mr Penglase said.
"It's amazing the difference that reading to your kids right from birth can make," Mr Penglase said.
The Smith Family also facilitates a Learning Club at the Port Augusta Children's Centre located at the Carlton School.
In partnership with the Port Augusta Secondary School and SA Water Adelaide these include Next Steps a school to work transition workshop, and University Experience Tours.
The Smith Family has also held a number of Straight Talks, where successful local people speak to students and tell them their life stories.
"I enjoy helping people that need and want it most, and it's particularly fulfilling to help invest in the education of our children," Mr Penglase said.
Another program with great potential for the community is the student2student reading program which links a competent reader with a younger 'buddy'.

The Smith Family, a national children's charity which supports disadvantaged children in Australia through education, has been working in the Port Augusta community since late 2011, and currently supports 240 students in the area.
"It's such a great program for both students and it really has an impact on their self esteem and confidence."
Let's Read is an early childhood literacy program that encourages parents to start reading with their children before they start school.
